Jeff Garber

Jeff Garber is Senior Engineer for International Development at Global Oilfield Systems, responsible for the technical design and execution of the company's projects outside North America, including drilling campaigns, gas plant tie-ins, and long-haul pipeline construction.

Jeff has spent 28 years in the field, with extended assignments in Nigeria, Angola, Algeria, the UAE, and the North Sea. He specializes in the hard part of international work: engineering a program that is technically correct on paper and still executable with local supply chains, local labor, and real-world logistics constraints.

He leads front-end engineering for new international scopes, well design review, materials selection, welding and NDT strategy, and the HSE case that has to satisfy both the client and the host regulator. Once a project is sanctioned he stays with it through mobilization and first operations.

Earlier in his career Jeff worked as a drilling engineer and then a rig superintendent, running 24-hour operations on land and offshore. That operational grounding is why his designs tend to survive contact with the field: he engineers for the crew that has to build it, not for the drawing.

Jeff is a licensed Professional Engineer with IWCF Level 4 well control certification, API 1104 pipeline welding qualification, and rope-access supervisory credentials for offshore structural inspection work.

He also runs the company's international mentoring program, pairing national-hire engineers on each project with a senior G.O.S engineer for the full duration of the campaign.
