Michael J. Sullivan

Chief Executive Officer

Profile

Michael J. Sullivan leads Global Oilfield Systems as Chief Executive Officer, with day-to-day accountability for operations, commercial performance, and the safety of every crew the company puts in the field. He joined G.O.S in 2004 as a drilling operations manager and was appointed CEO in 2018.

Michael's tenure has been defined by operational modernization. He oversaw the standardization of the rig fleet, the rollout of real-time drilling telemetry across every active site, and the creation of the company's central operations center, which now monitors well control parameters on live jobs around the clock.

He is directly responsible for the group's three-pillar strategy: Talent, Technology, and Transition. Under that framework the company has doubled its trained field workforce, cut non-productive time by more than a third, and taken on integrated contracts that combine drilling, welding, and long-term integrity management under one scope.

His career began offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, where he spent nine years working through mudlogging, directional drilling, and platform supervision roles. He later ran international projects in Angola and Nigeria, experience that still informs how the company staffs and supports remote operations.

Michael holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and multiple well-control and process-safety certifications. He personally signs off on the group's annual safety case and attends the quarterly all-crew safety review at each regional base.

He is known internally for a simple operating rule: no job is so urgent that it cannot be done correctly, and no schedule justifies putting a crew in an unsafe position.
